Let there be lights!
In case you didn't hear, today was national "put your husband on the roof day". I had to giggle driving through our neighborhood on the way to lunch, because every other house had a husband on sitting on top with a very stern expression. Todd started putting our lights up this afternoon and finished up after the game. It looks great! We put green-only "C7" lights up all around the roof's perimeter. It's the first time we've been able to decorate with outside Christmas lights since we were married -- I'm very excited to finally be able to do so! Here are a few shots from the day: one, two, three

Tee hee, I had to laugh at "put your husband on the roof day"!!!!! I actually read it outloud to E ;) You better believe it that this will be how it goes once we have a house we can climb on ;) Geekie-husband or not, he'll have to learn to put up lights!!!

Oh darn, I knew Shawn was missing something when he had to go to work yesterday. Do ya think I could borrow Todd to put up some lights? Tee hee!

nice job! when you need a laugh in a couple weeks... you should go visit my sister's street -- it's the extreme in tacky christmas decorations, with each house trying to out-do the next! people drive down the street sight-seeing every nite! it's crazy, ugly, and hilarious!

You know, I don't have a husband. And I have a lot of little "Honey Do" projects I need taken care of. Do you think I could borrow him for a weekend or so? And can he build things ... I want a bookcase thing built under my bar (with doors on the front) to store CDs, DVDs and Videos in. Ok? Send him over.

It's so weird seeing Todd put up Christmas lights in shorts and a T-shirt! It's unseasonably warm here (in the upper 60's) too...but it's just so weird! From what I can see in the pics though it looks really nice. Good job Todd!
