Saturday wrap-up
Ever feel like you're walking through wet cement? I'm having one of those days... We were bad little Tobyns and stayed out 'til 3:30 a.m. last night -- we didn't make it to sleep until almost 4:30 in the morning. There are times you realize you're just not 19 anymore, and last night was definitely one of them.

We can't complain too much though. We went to Ryan and Chel's, and a group of us played Cranium not once, but twice! We had four teams going -- and let me just say that this game rocked! (And not just because Todd and I blew the competition away the first time, and Todd and Ryan romped around the board the second game...) It's a board game that combines trivia, "Pictionary" with your eyes closed, charades, "name that tune", clay sculpting, and more. I highly recommend having Leo's girlfriend Linda there to guess what the sketches are though! *evil grin*

We didn't even bother with the alarm this morning, and rolled into Lee Roy Selmon's for our watch party near the end of the first quarter to find OU behind 0-10 vs. Texas A&M. We sat down and got serious and watched OU tie it up by the half. We scored 31 unanswered points, and wrapped it up at 31-10. I'm sure people across the nation were grinning with evil glee after that first quarter though! (Todd came up with a great plan for next week against Tech. Hybl doesn't seem to get warmed up and find his groove 'til the third quarter -- so we want him out playing against the practice squad for two full quarters before the actual game starts.) And I thought we were going to get whiplash in the fourth quarter going back and forth between our game on the big screen and the Miami vs. Boston College game on the TVs over the bar. The score doesn't even come close to showing how close this game was -- and how close Miami came to losing -- unless you were watching it. Those kids at BC definitely gave it their all, and Miami seems a little less invincible now.

After the game, we headed to the new International Plaza across the street. The Body Shop has their Christmas fragrances in now -- Snow and Cranberry line the shelves! I was good though...my birthday is too close to run wild in there... (Dammit!) And joy of joys, Bath & Body Works are re-releasing their Sugar Plum scent again this season! They didn't release it last year for the first time since I was at OU, and there was darn-near rioting in some of the stores. (I hopped on eBay and snagged 4 bottles of bubble bath before they started selling for over $30 each!) It comes out on Monday, and you'd better believe with two $10 gift certificates tucked in my wallet that I'm heading back. They usually sell out the first week -- so heads up if you like that scent! On our way out we hit the Godiva store since I had a certificate for a free box of their chocolate mint biscuits. They were handing out free bags of their hot chocolate to each of their customers that entered, and we each got one. Godiva freebies rule! I walked out with a bag full of goodies and only had to plop down the cash for three truffles. We got three birthday cards and a house-warming card, and headed home for a long winter's nap.

We're just getting back up and turning on the Florida vs. South Carolina game. Looks like the Gators might have their hands full tonight if they're not careful! (FSU already went down at home earlier tonight.) We both have that "I'm not getting sick...I'm not getting sick..." feeling right now, so I expect we'll do a whole lotta nuthin' the rest of the weekend. But stay tuned! The Dress Contest 2001 Finalists are released after midnight tonight!

Happy weekend everyone...

Then again, if you want that Sugar Plum scent, you can always be really nice to Christine, who has bottles of that fragrance oil just waiting to be turned into bath goodies... Well, not "the" fragrance oil, but one that is an absolutely perfect duplicate of it. I also have Pearberry, Sun Ripened Raspberry, and lots of their other wonderful scents - plus some they have yet to discover! *grin*
