Blast from the past
Reading about the "classic football game" in Todd's blog today reminded me of another favorite childhood toy -- the Merlin. The site I found it on is SO cool! Todd and I were having a blast talking about it on the phone just now and reminiscing. So many of my favorite childhood toys were in the 70s and 80s section -- including the Big Wheel, Easy-Bake Oven, Fashion Plates, Lite Brite, Mad Libs, Mr. Microphone, Shrinky Dinks, Simon, and Sit 'N Spin. Go check it out! You'll feel 8-years old all over again...

They even had a Little Professor on the site!

GIRL! I remember when Saturday's were worth getting up early for the fantastic cartoons. (I was a total Smurf fanatic) Nowadays I wonder what my children will do first thing Saturday morning, watch TNBC? Ha! (Ok, so maybe I kinda like that new show on "Get Real" but that's it!)

I *still* have my Merlin! AND ... it still works! :) Now Jason plays with it. He plays with my Mr. Professor too, which quizzes you on math questions. And we still have a Pocket Simon too!

Mr. Professor ruled -- I had one of those too! So jealous of your Merlin... And I looked up "Fashion Plates" on eBay today purely out of curiousity. They are selling for over $30 each! Can you believe that???
