Do I get fries with that?
How to tell you reeeeeeally love the Sooners... When you're just about to plop down twice as much to watch them play crummy Tulsa on pay-per-view as an all-night porn-fest would cost. $24.95 -- ouch! That was roughly the price of my student season tickets back in college, I kid you not. C'est la vie. Boomer Sooner, baby! Oh, and on a happy, happy joy, joy note...we just found out the Sooner Club is meeting at Selmon's for next week's watch party...w00t (from Todd)!

Crummy Tulsa? Damn You! We're all Okies you know. We start splitting up into small groups and we're really screwed.

Can't we all just get along? ;-) No seriously, I always giggled at a team named the Golden Hurricane (wasn't aware they even had color) when we were a 'nader state. I actually considered going to Tulsa though (they "recruited" me), 'til I spent a weekend on campus at a freshman-invite and found out their tuition for one semester (even after scholarship) would be more than a year at OU including tuition/fees/books/dorm expenses. In the end, I was Sooner born and Sooner bred!

Back in my day... You hush up or I'll hit you with my cane, missy! ;-) You have to remember, I went to OU in the Gibbs era -- they discussed *paying* us to attend games. LOL!

The Golden Hurricane thing ... I sum that up as being a part of the whole Okie mentality. Titles don't have to necessarily make sense, as long as they make for good college bar names ;)
