I debated all afternoon on whether or not I should blog about this...but you know what...it's my blog, and I want to pause and reflect for a bit. So I am. I miss you Grandpa! But somehow, I just know you're up there smiling at me because OU is the defending national champ...and it all started the last time we saw each other...
Today would be my Grandpa's 89th birthday. Hugs to you ... I know how you are feeling today! :)

It's definitely bitter-sweet, but I'm so grateful I finally "grew up" before he passed away so I could know him as an adult! :-)

That's very sweet. He looks like a great man and I'm glad you decided to share his memory with us. :)

More power to you for putting that beautiful tribute up for everyone. I understand completely what it's like for you, my grandfather (the last gradparent I had) died on Aug. 30.

Robyn, I enjoyed seeing your tribute to your grandpa. And to all those who posted, yes he was a great man---a terrific dad and a wonderful grandfather, and he was a wonderful Christian who lived it every day.... We were so lucky. I miss you too, Dad.
