While Todd was getting ready this morning, I went and sat down at the dining room table to look out over all we'd accomplished last night. A group of kids (probably about 4th-6th graders) walked by on their way to the bus stop, heads down, and looking so...defeated... I remember that early-morning trek to the bus stop well! As much as I miss college, you couldn't pay me to go back to grade-jr.-sr.-high school again.
I forgot to mention yesterday -- we found a new love in life. In the middle of errands, we stopped by 7-11 and grabbed slurpees. They had the new "Mountain Dew Code Red" ones. They are SO good! I love the bottled Code Red (and hate it that you can't buy it in 6-packs), but the slurpee version is muuuuch better. I think it's going to be a very dangerous thing that we have a 7-11 right on the corner!
