Oh. My. God. I am so sad reading this news. He was simply AMAZING. Taking a moment of silence now...
He was so talented! I'm not sure what book it was, but I loved the pictures of how he made famous people look like other famous people - all with makeup! Of course, now I can't think of who. That's so sad. ¤ ¤ credit: Linh | 05.08.02 at 06:38 PM | link--this ¤ ¤NO! I can't believe that. He was truly an artist... ¤ ¤ credit: Christi | 05.08.02 at 06:53 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Here are the books you're talking about ("Making Faces", "The Art of Makeup", and "Face Forward"). He also had a line of cosmetics and makeup brushes set to launch this fall...I agree, so very sad. He really did change the face of fashion the last 10 or so years. ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.08.02 at 06:54 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Oh wow. He was fantastic, and his books were wonderful. He'll be missed, and I'm glad his work is chronicled in the books he left behind. ¤ ¤ credit: Christine | 05.08.02 at 08:07 PM | link--this ¤ ¤That is so sad... I loved his books and his features in Allure... ¤ ¤ credit: gigi | 05.08.02 at 10:07 PM | link--this ¤ ¤I was also shocked to hear of his passing. I heard it on the local news and all I heard was his name. Naa it can't be that Kevyn Aucoin. So I logged on and found out that yeap that it was him:O( I missed out on meeting him when he came back to Lafayette for a book signing:O( You are right he was amazing....Love your blog by the way:O) ¤ ¤ credit: Leslie | 05.09.02 at 11:20 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
